Focused on Aceh, East Kalimantan, and Southeast Sulawesi, the story tracks the "Social Accountability in the Mining Sector" project led by Publish What You Pay (PWYP) Indonesia with support from GPSA and the World Bank. The project aims to boost local community involvement through collaborative social accountability mechanisms such as multi-stakeholder forums, capacity-building activities, and stakeholder scorecards. The film highlights the communities' efforts to demand accountability from both government and industry, presenting the social accountability model as a potential solution to the sector's ongoing issues.
